Cleftridge House

Gold Medal Craftsmanship Award 2008, Asheville NC

This charming residence has been cleverly designed and built according to the principles of the most authentic Tudor artistic tradition. This half-timbering construction technique is a characteristic of British vernacular architecture that use heavy timber posts to create a structural framework with the space in between filled by white plaster panels.

This new home is located along a traditional street where single houses predominate, all of which carefully detailed and constructed using materials that harmonized with the language vernacular architecture.
