Orr’s Jewelry

Golden Trowel Award 2009, International Masonry Institute

The owners of the company decided to open a second location for their store in the town they call home, Sewickley. This decision was not about a quick commute, it was important for them to be closer to the customers they have kept relationships with for decades. They loved the small town feel of Sewickley and would rather see customers walking on the streets than the atmosphere of a mall. The now 4-year-old location on Beaver Street is a beautiful addition to the Village inside and out. This classic masonry structure compliments the surrounding area with its combination of detailed brick work, limestone base panels, arched openings and unique limestone gutters. The Sewickley Orr’s Jewelers received the Golden Trowel Award from the International Masonry Institute (PA) for  “Excellence in Masonry Design and Construction”. This mixed use (commercial and office) building was considered the best of the Retail Category on 2009 and received the award based on its design and construction high qualities and its ability to fit in the historical neighborhood.
